We partner with 2 full time beekeepers that teach and train beginner beekeepers on a monthly basis. The bee course includes a full day of beekeeping info in theory and practical beekeeping demo at a LIVE Buzzing BEE HIVE!

The bee course usually takes place in Johannesburg, near the Lanseria Airport. Bee suits and bee gloves are available for rental on the day for additional R100 fee. Until you have made the decision to fully invest in beekeeping, first rent a beekeeping kit including a bee suit and bee gloves and come on the bee course!

We work hard to bring you the best quality full bee suits with detachable veils: All our bee suits are complete with ankle and wrist elastic bands, ankle zips and numerous pockets.

If you have budget constraints or prefer using a bee jacket, our top quality 100% denim bee jackets with detachable veil are available! They offer medium proection.

Please remember that your protection should be your highest concern when working with bees. The lowest protection is offered by the bee veil with ropes.

Beekeeping can be fun. Some people do it for leisure and free honey and others do it professionally. Either way it's still a great way to get outdoors, meet people and get closer to nature. Our beekeeping course includes an estimated 60 minutes inspecting a live hive.
We've been in beekeeping for over 6 years and we still use our original set of bee suits we made back then today! We recently held our 6th "Easy Buzzing Bee Course" this weekend and half of the learners rented bee suits for the day's training. They happen to use our old faithful full overall bee suits with detachable veil for the 90-min practical session at a LIVE demo at the bee hive!
Get involved as a hobbyist or begin a road to commercial bee farming, either way you need to get more knowledge and hands on experience. It's like a test drive before you buy!

The full day beekeeping course includes a practical demonstration of working a bee hive as well as theory about beekeeping.
Register now to come to the Next Bee Course now! will be for a FULL Day. Starting at 8h00 until late in the afternoon. We will focus on as much hands-on theory as possible with at least an hour session of practical work at a hive.
The PRACTICAL BeeKeeping demo includes each learner removing a frame from a live bee hive and inspecting it. A search for the queen bee and description of comb, drone cells, larvae, eggs and internal workings of the hive. All learners participate in the practical exercise with a live bee hive.
We will be charging R650 for the course which includes the facilitation and tea and biscuits at the site. Please be sure you purchase necessary equipment such as a bee suit and gloves before coming on the workshop.
Or you can rent a bee suit and gloves for the day for an additional R100pp.
A minimum of 4 candidates is required to run the beekeeping course so be sure to bring a friend!
